With divine pleasure, The Basement next invites to the pulpit, for a hybrid live/dj set, the L.A. based nu-disco outfit, ASHRR. Having garnered the attention and support of local and international radio with their initial EP offering, these masters of space disco and electronic soul, ripped through a second album and a string of singles, ultimately landing them on legendary Ralph Lawson’s 20/20 Vision imprint; a UK house label prolifically instrumental in forging the sound of modern dance music, sharing company with fabled disco heroes, Crazy P. With their engine in full gear, a pack of remixes came alongside their next album release, tapping in masters of sound, Felix Dickinson, Ron Trent, Lovefingers, and Scientist for superb dancefloor versions. ASHRR themselves also wove their own fully reassembled dub mixes of their Sunshine Low album, all of which has come with unanimous critical acclaim and consistent rotation on KCRW.
