The Basement is a private membership club rooted in music, community, and respect. By accessing our website, becoming a member, purchasing a ticket, or attending an event, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Who We Are
The Basement is a Los Angeles based membership club hosting curated monthly events featuring headlining DJs and guest selectors. Some content, perks, and pricing are reserved for active members.
By using this site or attending events, you agree to follow these Terms.
2. Membership
Eligibility
Membership is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. Certain events may require attendees to be 21+ depending on venue and alcohol regulations.
Membership Benefits
Membership may include early access to tickets, discounted pricing, guest codes, exclusive content, or other benefits. These perks may evolve as the community grows. Membership benefits are non transferable and may not be resold or shared for commercial purposes.
Member Conduct
The Basement is built on trust, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership without refund if a member:

Harasses or discriminates against others

Engages in unsafe, aggressive, or disruptive behavior

Violates venue rules or staff direction

Misuses member benefits

Engages in fraudulent activity

3. Tickets and Event Attendance
All Sales Final
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in our Refund Policy, ticket sales are final and non refundable.
Event Changes
Artists, venues, and event details are subject to change. While we always aim to deliver what’s advertised, circumstances beyond our control may require adjustments.
The Basement reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel events due to safety concerns, artist cancellations, venue issues, or force majeure events.
Right to Refuse Entry
We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee who violates our Code of Conduct or poses a risk to the safety or comfort of others. Removal may occur without refund.
4. Payments and Renewals
All payments are processed through secure third party providers.
By submitting payment information, you confirm you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
If your membership includes recurring billing, you authorize automatic charges according to the membership terms at the time of purchase. You may cancel recurring membership according to our Cancellation Policy.
We are not responsible for errors caused by third party payment processors.
5. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
Live events carry inherent risks.
By attending a Basement event, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, you release and hold harmless The Basement, its owners, employees, contractors, DJs, venues, and affiliates from liability arising out of or related to attendance at our events.
6. Media and Photography
By attending a Basement event, you acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken for promotional and archival purposes.
You grant The Basement the right to use your image, likeness, or voice in marketing materials, social media, and promotional content without compensation.
If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify our team in writing prior to the event.
7. Code of Conduct
The Basement is a community space.
We have zero tolerance for:

Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech

Non consensual physical contact

Aggressive or unsafe behavior

Disruptive conduct that impacts others
Consent matters. Respect matters. Energy matters.
Anyone violating this Code may be removed from the event without refund and may have membership privileges revoked.
8. Intellectual Property
All website content including logos, artwork, branding, photography, written content, and event materials are the property of The Basement.
They may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.
9. Website Use
You agree not to:

Attempt to interfere with the website’s operation

Use automated tools to scrape data

Provide false information

Use the site for unlawful purposes
We reserve the right to restrict access to users who violate these Terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Basement shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from website use or event attendance.
Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for the applicable membership or ticket.
11. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or attendance at events after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
