One of the best parts of this little corner of dance music is how often the right people seem to find one another.

Sometimes it's over a stack of records. Sometimes beneath a festival canopy. Sometimes on a dance floor at Sunset Campout.

That's where our path first crossed with SHANE ONE.

Ask five people about Shane, and you'll likely hear five different stories.

One first discovered him through PillowTalk. Another still talks about a sunrise somewhere in Europe. Someone else swears by a set they wandered into years ago at Sunset Campout and has been chasing that feeling ever since.

We thought it was about time our little room joined the conversation.

Raised in New York with a foundation in classical piano and music theory, Shane's musical path has never followed a straight line. Hip-hop, R&B, soul, disco, house... each chapter has quietly informed the next, shaping a selector whose curiosity has always mattered more than any single genre.

After relocating to San Francisco, record shops became classrooms, and conversations became recommendations. Along the way came PillowTalk, Ministry of Sound, Houghton Festival, Love International, Burning Man, and countless dance floors in between. But accolades have never really been the point. Shane plays with the generosity of someone inviting friends into his living room rather than performing for a crowd. There is an ease to the way he connects records, trusting the music—and the people in front of him—to find one another.

Opening the evening is BENJI G, co-creator of LA's beloved Body Wave, who has quietly become one of those DJs whose name seems to appear whenever conversations turn toward impeccable taste. 

Raised in Los Angeles and deeply rooted in disco and house, Benji has developed an uncanny knack for uncovering records that feel both familiar and entirely new. Funk, boogie, Balearic excursions, cosmic curiosities, deep house, and wonderfully off-center dance music all find equal footing in his hands. You get the sense that every record arrives with its own little story—and if you're lucky, he'll tell a few of them without ever saying a word.

There is something wonderfully fitting about this pairing.

Shane brings the wisdom of countless dance floors traveled. Benji brings the excitement of the next great discovery.
